Liensberger is seriously injured in a fall and has to end the season


St. Michael im Lungau – For Katharina Liensberger from Vorarlberg, the dream of taking part in the Olympic Games in Milan/Cortina is over. The 28-year-old ski racer suffered severe injuries to her right knee in a fall on Friday in St. Michael/Lungau during the ÖSV technical team’s giant slalom training in preparation for the Kranjska Gora World Cup. In the Hochrum Clinic near Innsbruck, a fracture of the tibial plateau, a torn meniscus and a torn medial ligament were diagnosed.
