The dictator of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said he could speak “in a few days” about the attack by the CIA, the United States intelligence agency on Venezuelan soil, which was announced by President Donald Trump, although he did not confirm the case or give details.
This is the first time that Maduro has addressed the issue. According to Trump, an attack was carried out on a “large installation” linked to drug trafficking on the Venezuelan coast.
“This is a subject that we will be able to discuss in a few days, in a second episode of this podcast; we will certainly be able to talk about it in a few days,” Maduro responded when asked directly about the attack during an interview with Ignacio Ramonet, recorded on Wednesday (31st), but broadcast on Thursday (1st) on the state channel VTV.
“What I can say is that it has guaranteed and continues to guarantee territorial integrity, the peace of the country and the use and enjoyment of all our territories. Our people are safe and at peace,” he added, without offering further details.

Maduro talks about conversation with Trump
During the interview broadcast on Thursday — in which his wife, Cilia Flores, and Venezuela’s Vice President of Culture and Communication, Freddy Ñáñez, were also present — Maduro addressed speculation about a second phone call with Trump and stated that they only spoke on the phone once.
“We only had one conversation. He called me on Friday, November 21, from the White House, and I was at the Miraflores Palace,” he said, reiterating that it was a “respectful” conversation.
“We talked for 10 minutes and it was a respectful conversation, very respectful… the subsequent developments were not pleasant,” he added.
Previously, the CNN reported that, but did not give details about the conversation.
“I don’t want to comment; the answer is yes. I wouldn’t say it was good or bad. It was a phone call”, he commented.
