Strate’s premiere victory, Prevc wins the two-night tour


Oberstdorf – The women’s ski jumping World Cup started the new year with a surprising result. The Canadian Abigail Strate celebrated her first World Cup victory on Thursday in Oberstdorf, behind her Zeng Ping secured the first World Cup podium finish for a Chinese woman. The Slovenian Nika Prevc finished fourth behind the German Selina Freitag and won the overall ranking of the two-night tour. Salzburg’s Lisa Eder came seventh on the day and finished the tour in fourth place.
