An avalanche in northern Italy killed at least one person and seriously injured two others on Friday. This was announced by the local mountain rescue service, writes TASR based on reports from ANSA and DPA agencies.
According to initial findings, an avalanche at an altitude of approximately 2,300 meters near the village of Acceglio in the Piedmont region she overwhelmed four people. One person was declared dead, two others are in serious condition. More than a hundred rescue workers are working at the site, but their work is made difficult by adverse weather conditions.
