The former advisor to the former president (PL), arrested this Friday (2), in Ponta Grossa (PR), is being held at the Hildebrando de Souza Public Prison, in the municipality of Paraná. According to the Paraná Penal Police, the unit was opened in 1986 and is intended for provisional prisoners and male and female convicts. The security level of the custody house is considered high by the corporation.

The public prison is located in the Colônia Dona Luiza neighborhood, in Ponta Grossa, the fourth most populous city in Paraná, with 375,632 inhabitants, according to an estimate from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) in 2025.

Martins was arrested at his residence, where he was under house arrest. The arrest order was determined by the Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes. Martins’ lawyer, Jeffrey Chiquini, stated that this was “another arrest without reason” ordered by the minister. Filipe Martins is the 14th person convicted as part of the coup plot to be imprisoned in a state facility. Of the 29 convicted by the STF, 23 are deprived of their liberty, nine of which are under house arrest.
