Nicolás Maduro Moros is the name of the much contested President of Venezuela. Former Minister of Foreign Affairs under Hugo Chávez, he came to office after the death of the charismatic leader. Maduro has survived several electoral acts, some considered fraudulent, and different opposition leaders. He has been in power for more than 12 years.
