Rubio: Maduro had offers to leave power, but wanted to “play the bully”

Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro received “multiple very, very, very generous offers” to step down from power, but “preferred to act like a loser” and play the “bully,” said Marco Rubio, United States Secretary of State.

Speaking to the press this Saturday (3), after the American military operation that captured Maduro, Rubio stated that the Venezuelan leader had “multiple opportunities to find another path”.

“Instead, he wanted to play the bully,” Rubio said.

President Donald Trump told Fox News to reach a deal.”

“I didn’t want to negotiate. I said, ‘No, we have to do this,'” Trump commented.
