Sena Madureira is in mourning, the public servant of the City Hall, Antônio Raimundo Bezerra da Costa, 62 years old, affectionately known as Soró, died on Friday afternoon (02). An illustrious resident of the municipality, musician and charismatic, Soró gained countless friends throughout his career, and his sudden departure generated an atmosphere of sadness and commotion throughout the city.

According to information gathered by our report, he was carrying out work on the banks of the Iaco River, more precisely in the port of Arlindo, when he fell ill and ended up not resisting. The suspicion is that a massive heart attack ended the life of one of the Iaco Valley’s most beloved residents.
People who were nearby still tried to provide help and called a medical team, but when rescuers arrived at the scene, the victim was already dead.
The news of his death generated a general commotion in the municipality, as Soró was well liked. So far, the family has not yet announced the time and location of the wake.

A career civil servant and recently retired from the city hall, Soró also stood out in the musical field, playing the guitar at various cultural and religious events, with a notable presence at the Matriz Nossa Senhora da Conceição church.
Soró is gone but leaves a legacy in history and in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His trajectory was built with dedication, commitment and love for the community, becoming a reference and inspiration for the entire population of Senamadureirense.
