JOJ TV aired its biggest triumph on New Year’s Eve. After the arrival of the new general director at STVR, Martina Flašíková, fundamental changes took place. Among others, the show Milujem Slovensko, whose faces were Martin Nikodým, Adela Vinczeová and Dano Dangl, also ended. The competition did not hesitate and JOJ TV bought the rights to this show.
Although Nikodým and Vinczeová remained part of the show, Dangla was replaced by moderator Matej Sajfa Cifra. He and Adela have been colleagues and good friends for many years, so they were very much looking forward to the filming. So far, they have not faced each other as rivals. They only did it in a star-studded competition session where they both act as team captains.
The broadcast was a great success with viewers. “JOJka premiered the long-awaited Milujem Slovensko. The program with moderator Martin Nikodým and captains Adela Vinczeová and Matej Sajf Cifra watched 488 thousand viewers (Rtg000) in CS12+. At the same time, the New Year’s Eve format was the only one on the market that hit in this group more than a million viewers (Cov000). The show also did well in the business audience, where it achieved viewership 8,9 % (Rtg) with a share 23,5 % (Shr%). These results confirm the strength of the Milujem Slovensko brand even in the most competitive evening of the year,” said Matej Dedinský, marketing manager of TV JOJ.
CEO of JOJ GROUP Marcel Grega also commented on the viewership. “We are pleased that you chose the much-anticipated premiere of the new version of the I Love Slovakia format on our screens to celebrate the end of the year. The first special New Year’s Eve edition of the popular entertainment show on JOJka became the most watched program of the entire New Year’s Eve and as the only program of the evening reached more than a million viewers“, he thanked.
