The Venezuelan foreign minister thanks Mexico and the African Union for their messages of support
The Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Yvan Gil, has published countless messages on He has stated, in all cases, that these ministers have expressed their support, as well as the co-presidents of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo. Likewise, he has especially thanked the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, and her predecessor, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, for having condemned the attack. “We express our most sincere gratitude to the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, for her firm condemnation and rejection of the recent military actions carried out by the United States,” reads a publication. “[El apoyo de López Obrador] highlights the ties that unite our Latin American peoples, forged by a shared history and a common desire to build a future free of the rude and genocidal interventionism of the United States,” he states in another. Regarding the African Union, he commented: “We are extremely pleased to have the support and solidarity of this outstanding organization for the stability of Venezuela.”
The minister has also shared the X publications of several personalities who have expressed their repudiation of the US attack: the president of Honduras, Xiomara Castro; the president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva; the governor of the Province of Buenos Aires in Argentina, Axel Kicillof; the Basque party EH Bildu. He has also posted videos of support demonstrations in cities such as Brussels and Mexico City.
