Nike at Vasco: contract length, value received and how to buy a shirt

Nike no Vasco: tempo do contrato, valor recebido e como comprar camisa image

O Vasco plays Nike for the first time in history this Saturday (03/01)when Cruz-Maltino faces Velo Clube-SP, at 7:30 pm (Brasília time), in the debut in the Copa São Paulo de Juniores 2026. Vasco’s contract with Nike runs until December 2032.

The contract places the North American giant as exclusive responsible for all lines of uniforms – game, training, travel and casual – for professional teams, women’s football, youth teams and the entire coaching staff. The uniforms for the Copinha are temporary and will only be used during the competition.

From the Carioca Championship onwards, Vasco will use other Nike uniforms. The number 1 shirt has already had images leaked on social media. Cruz-Maltino’s debut will be on the 15th, against Maricá.

Shirts made for Copinha will not be offered for sale. The uniforms for the Campeonato Carioca will be sold on the Nike website, at Vasco’s official store (Vasco Boutique), and in several sporting goods stores on the internet and in physical stores. The launches will take place until the 15th.

How much will Nike pay Vasco?

In a fixed way, the Nike will pay R$35 million per season. However, the value can reach R$42 million per season, considering sales, targets and bonuses. At the end of the fifth year of the contract, in December 2030, the parties will be able to negotiate adjustments.

The financial difference in relation to the agreement that existed with Kappa, a former uniform supplier, is significant: the brand transferred R$600,000 annually, plus 13% royalties per item sold and R$300,000 allocated to marketing.
