Brussels – The EU Commission expects the trade agreement with the South American group of states Mercosur to be signed soon. “We are on the right track to achieve a signing of the agreement and we hope that this will happen quite soon,” said a spokesman for the EU Commission in Brussels on Monday. At their summit in mid-December, the EU-27 postponed the signing again because the necessary two-thirds majority had not yet been achieved.
