Chelsea is planning a move that will impact the market, with huge financial investment. The English team intends to invest 135 million pounds (around R$989 million at current prices) to take Vini Jr from Real Madrid.
According to information released by the British newspaper The Guardian, the Brazilian would not be completely satisfied in Madrid and has not yet reached an agreement to renew his contract, which runs until June 2027.
This impasse could open up the possibility of a sale, as a way of preventing the Spanish club from running the risk of losing the striker free of charge in around 18 months.

Vini Jr’s situation at Real Madrid
The Brazilian striker is going through a delicate moment at the Spanish club. He has not scored since October 4 and has not found the net for 93 days, which has increased the pressure surrounding his performance. In the current season, the Brazilian has five goals in 25 games.
Last Sunday (4), Real Madrid beat Betis 5-1, at the Santiago Bernabéu, in the Spanish Championship. Even with the rout, Vinicius ended up being the target of boos from the fans when he left the pitch, replaced by coach Xabi Alonso.
This charging scenario has been closely watched by Chelsea, which is evaluating the possibility of taking advantage of the moment to open talks with the Spanish club.
After the match against Betus, Xabi Alonso came to the player’s defense and showed confidence in a return to good form. “We understand the situation. Vinicius is mature, and so are we. We need to respond. We are all here to support each other. We want to do our best. Vini is and has always been fundamental at Madrid, and will continue to be. I’m sure the Bernabéu will applaud him in the future, I have no doubt about that,” he said.
Vini Jr’s contract with Real Madrid
Vini Jr’s contract with Real Madrid is valid until the end of the 2026/27 season. Currently, the striker receives around 17 million euros net (around R$107 million) per season, already considering the bonuses stipulated in the contract.
Negotiations between the parties to renew the Brazilian’s contract had other moments of stagnation. In August 2025, ESPN revealed that the Spanish club did not offer a significant increase in Vini Jr’s salary in relation to the three-season extension that Real Madrid would like.
