The heat will give a respite in the city of São Paulo until Monday, but will return on Tuesday
After a strong storm on the coast of São Paulo left dozens of people homeless this Sunday, the 4th, the warning for new flooding and landslides continues in Baixada Santista and on the North Coast of the State.
The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) issued a warning this Sunday for a high volume of rain and strong storms from Guarujá to the North Coast until Monday, the 5th. The alert also includes the Metropolitan Regions of São Paulo, Belo Horizonte and Rio de Janeiro, the Paraíba Valley, almost the entire State of Espírito Santo, most of Minas Gerais and Goiás and the south of the State of Rio de Janeiro.
Inmet points out that, in January, temperatures and rainfall will be above average in most of Brazil.
Respite from the heat in the capital of São Paulo
The heat will give a respite in the city of São Paulo until Monday, the 5th. After two weeks with temperatures in the 30s, thermometers range from 18ºC to 23ºC on Sunday, the 4th, and on Monday, the 5th. The forecast is from the Climate Emergency Management Center of the capital’s City Hall.
On Tuesday, the 6th, temperatures rise again, with a minimum of 16°C and a maximum of 27°C. Wednesday and Thursday will have similar temperatures, ranging from 17ºC to 29ºC.
