Berlin – After the departure of Brandenburg’s deputy head of government Robert Crumbach from the BSW and the crumbling majority, there are signs of a new red-black coalition. On Monday, the SPD practically gave its previous partner BSW an ultimatum for a declaration of loyalty, which the BSW does not want to make. “The BSW must show that this coalition is capable of acting. Because this coalition cannot be continued without its own majority,” explained Brandenburg’s SPD General Secretary Kurt Fischer. That is why the SPD needs a clear commitment from the BSW to the coalition. The BSW must make this known at its parliamentary group meeting on Tuesday. The BSW then declared that such an oath of loyalty contradicted the coalition agreement and would therefore be rejected. Crumbach was asked to resign his mandate. He seriously damaged trust in politics.
