‘We are fine, we are calm; You will see us on the streets, alongside the people’, said Nicolás Ernesto Maduro
The son of former president Nicolás Maduro called on the Venezuelan population to mobilize against American action in South American territory. “We are fine, we are calm. You will see us in the streets, alongside the people”, said Nicolás Ernesto Maduro. He also spoke of “raising the flags of dignity” and that they will not see the Venezuelan people as weak. “We will work to bring him home safe and sound,” he told Radio Miraflores.
“We are firm. We will move forward”, he continued, in a message aimed at members of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and social movements. Maduro was arrested together with his wife last Saturday by the United States in Caracas. From there, he was taken to New York, where he will be tried for narco-terrorism along with his wife. .
