Slovak influencer Andy Opalena survived her first Christmas without her daughter Ninka († 10). The girl died suddenly on December 30, 2024 while skiing in France. Despite the fact that the daughter had the metabolic disease LCHAD from birth, Andy cannot explain her death.
On the day of the first anniversary, the bereaved mother poured out her heart on the social network. “Today is a year since you left this world. A year full of silence, memories and an endless desire to have you with me. I think of you every day, my daughter, and I still feel your presence in my heart, in the wind, in the light that surrounds us,Andy confessed.
“I will never forget your laughter, your joy, your tenderness and all that you brought to our lives. Even if you are not physically with me, you are still my angel – my light and my peace. Today I remember with love and gratitude every moment we spent together. Ninka, you will forever be a part of my heart. I will always feel your love and carry your memory like a treasure that will never be lost,” she beckoned to the sky.
The year without her daughter was extremely difficult for Andy, but her love and soul are still alive in her. “Ninka, my little angel, I will never forget you and I will love you forever,” she added at the end of an emotional post on Instagram.
Until 2026, she made a resolution that brings tears to her eyes. “New year, new beginning. Although it came after a loss that hurts and changed a lot of things. Some people leave, but what they leave in us stays forever. Memories, love and silence in which we still feel them. Let this new year be about slow healing, hope and the strength to move on – one step at a time. Not to forget, but to learn to live on with the memory in the heart,” she wrote.
