, (Landless Rural Workers Movement) and other left-wing entities decided to create an emergency front of solidarity and organize a series of actions against and in defense of the sovereignty of .
The measure was taken in a virtual meeting held this Sunday (4) and which was attended by more than 300 people, including representatives of parties such as PC do B, PSTU, trade unions, UNE (National Union of Students) and other organizations.
The emergency front will be formed by a representative from each entity and will begin operating on the 14th. The objective is to stimulate political articulation in the states, through established committees, to organize actions at a national level.
At the meeting, the entities criticized “imperialist aggression” and stated that the attack on Venezuela “is a threat to the sovereignty of all of Latin America.”
They also cited the “illegal kidnapping of the president and first lady”, described as an act of war and a “brutal violation” of international law.
The parties and entities also want the Brazilian Executive, Legislative and Judiciary to officially express solidarity with the Venezuelan government and the country’s population.
Events were called for this Monday (5) in six capitals — São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Salvador, Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre. Furthermore, the entities want to carry out a major national event this Thursday (8), along with actions against the attacks of January 8, 2023.
