Former councilor Carlos Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) stated this Tuesday (6) that he found his father, former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), with visible signs of injuries after a fall that occurred during the early hours of the morning in the special room of the Federal Police Superintendence, in Brasília.
According to the report, Bolsonaro had bruises on his face, bleeding on his feet and appeared to be disoriented.
In a post on social media, Carlos said that he arrived at the PF for the visit after former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro, but that she had not yet been authorized to enter because doctors were evaluating a fall suffered by the former president. Upon meeting him, he reported that Bolsonaro changed the subject when asked about what had happened, showing confusion.

According to the former councilor, the fall occurred in the early hours of the morning, possibly after a nightmare, but the former president was unable to give the time or explain how he fell.
“The police only realized that the incident had occurred in the morning, when they unlocked the bedroom door and found the old man stunned,” he wrote in X.
Given the situation, family members requested medical evaluations, which would have been carried out in the unit itself. Carlos stated, however, that he was informed that the transfer to a hospital depends on a formal request from the defense to the Federal Supreme Court (STF).
On Tuesday afternoon, minister Alexandre de Moraes, rapporteur of the coup plot, denied transferring the former president to the hospital. In the decision, Moraes stated that, in light of the information provided by the Federal Police, there is no indication of urgency that justifies the immediate transfer.
According to the minister, the initial care was carried out at the place of custody and did not indicate a risk that would require emergency removal.
The episode occurs amid a sequence of medical complications involving Bolsonaro. In recent days, he was discharged after hospitalization to treat a bilateral inguinal hernia and underwent additional procedures to contain persistent bouts of hiccups, in addition to tests that indicated esophagitis, gastritis and blood pressure spikes. Doctors who accompany the former president had already warned of the risk of falls in his current clinical situation.

Carlos Bolsonaro also stated that his father has a history of labyrinthitis and complained about restrictions on physical therapy in prison. According to him, medical reports are being prepared to support new measures, while family members await eventual authorization to undergo hospital examinations.
Bolsonaro has been imprisoned since the end of November at the Federal Police Superintendency, in Brasília, where he is serving a sentence of 27 years and three months in prison, in a closed regime, after conviction by the STF for involvement in the attempted coup d’état.
