The possible opening of a vacancy in the Ministry of Justice has already mobilized internal discussions within the government and placed the director general of the Federal Police, Andrei Rodrigues, among the names considered to take over the role.

At the head of the Federal Police since 2023, Andrei is a career delegate and has worked for the corporation for over 20 years. In Planalto and in the Ministry of Justice itself, his management is evaluated favorably, especially due to the direct dialogue with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who concentrates the decision on possible changes in the first echelon.
The expectation is that the topic will gain traction in the coming days, with Lula’s return to Brasília this Tuesday (6).
Another name that appears in behind-the-scenes conversations is that of the Minister of the General Comptroller of the Union, Vinícius de Carvalho, who has commanded the Comptroller since 2023 and built a career linked to Public Law and regulation, having served as president of the Administrative Council for Economic Defense.
