The finals between Germany and Argentina were the most repeated in the World Cups. In 1986, in Mexico, the Germans succumbed to Maradona’s genius. The payback came four years later, in Italy. The goal scored by Brehme, from the penalty spot, guaranteed the European country’s third title. The fourth German title only came twenty-four years later.
