The former presidential advisor’s lawyers filed a petition with data provided by the LinkedIn platform, according to which he was unable to access the network after precautionary measures imposed by the minister.
The alleged use of the network by Martins on December 28th was the reason given by Moraes for , last Saturday (3).
The former advisor has already been convicted of participating in the coup plot led by , but has not yet served a sentence related to this punishment, as his resources have not been exhausted.
According to information sent by LinkedIn to Martins’ lawyers, the last login to his account occurred in September 2024. The access was carried out by a North American lawyer for the former advisor, for evidentiary instruction in legal proceedings underway in the USA.
The records provided by the lawyers from network data indicate that the access came from an IP address within the USA. At the time, Martins was in Ponta Grossa (PR), where he was monitored by an electronic ankle monitor.
In the petition to the STF, lawyers Jeffrey Chiquini and Ricardo Scheiffer Fernandes say that there was a material error in Martins’ arrest and ask for it to be immediately revoked.
