On the last day (31), the Fire Department teams ended the search for Emily Lorrany, 2 years old, who disappeared after an accident involving boats on the Tarauacá River, in the interior of Acre. The operations lasted three days and did not result in the girl being located.
The disappearance occurred on the 29th, when two vessels collided during a river trip in a difficult-to-access region of the municipality. At the time of the accident, the child was with his mother and 6-year-old brother. Both fell into the river, but managed to be rescued alive.

In an interview with g1, the deputy commander of the Tarauacá Fire Department, Lieutenant Marcelo Monteiro, explained that the searches were interrupted after intense attempts made by divers over three consecutive days. “The corporation dived during the three days of searching, but was unsuccessful. Due to the volume of the body mass, it is very difficult for a two-year-old child to rise to the surface, so we were unable to find him”, he lamented.”
According to the official, the family was officially informed about the end of the search, and the firefighters who worked in the area returned to the urban area of the municipality.
The Civil Police is following the case. The delegate responsible for the investigation, José Ronério, informed g1 that he is awaiting the appearance of the child’s parents at the police station to formally register the disappearance. The accident happened above Igarapé São Luiz, when a bajola — a small motorized boat — collided with a small canoe, causing the woman and two children to fall into the river.
At the time, the commander of the Fire Department, Colonel Charles Santos, clarified that what happened was not related to the flooding of the river, but was the result of a navigation accident. He also highlighted that communication with rescue teams took place via radio, due to access difficulties and the absence of a telephone signal in the region.
