The security of the bar in the Alpine town of Crans Montana where the tragic fire occurred on New Year’s Eve had not been controlled in the last five years, the mayor of the affected commune confirmed on Tuesday.
In a press conference, Mayor Nicolas Féraud acknowledged that he has no explanation for the non-compliance with current regulations, which establish an annual security check of public establishments.
