The president of the United States, Donald Trump, stated this Tuesday, 6, that there is a lot of oil to be explored and that this will bring the prices of the commodity down. The North American leader confirmed that his team will have meetings with oil companies.
“We know what this is about,” Trump said, amid news that his team plans to meet with executives from U.S. oil companies later this week to discuss increasing Venezuelan oil production after U.S. forces deposed leader Nicolás Maduro.
At an event for members of the Republican Party, Trump also said that if his party fails to win the midterm election, he will be the target of impeachment.
