Sindifisco Nacional, the union that represents tax auditors, sent this Monday (5) a letter to the secretary asking the body for “maximum commitment” in providing support, including security, to professionals working on the border with Venezuela.
The letter is signed by the president of the union, Dão Real Pereira dos Santos, who cites the performance of tax auditors at the Customs Border Point of (RR) and the need to guarantee the full exercise of their powers in customs control of the border with Venezuela.
“As a representative of the Tax Auditors of the Federal Revenue of Brazil, public State authorities, whose responsibility is to preside over and coordinate customs control activities at land borders, Sindifisco Nacional, in defense of the Democratic Rule of Law, expresses deep concern about the effects that this North American military invasion of that country may have on Brazil’s sovereignty, especially with regard to border control”, he says.
