Anvisa bans batches of panettone and chocotone after identifying fungi

Measure prohibits sale and consumption of products from the batch valid until February; company announced voluntary withdrawal

The National Health Surveillance Agency () ordered on Tuesday (6) the recall and prohibition of the sale, distribution and consumption of a batch of panettone and chocotones from the company D’Viez Indústria e Comércio de Chocolates Finos, after the identification of fungi on the surface of the food.

The following products were banned, all from batch 251027, with an expiration date of February 27 of this year:

– Mini Panettone with Traditional Truffle Chocolate Drops – 140 g;

– Truffled Nossa Língua Panettone with “Cat’s Tongue Shaped” Chocolates – 700 g;

– Panettone with Traditional Truffle Chocolate Drops – 700 g;

– Traditional Truffled Fruit Panettone – 700 g;

According to Anvisa, D’Viez announced the voluntary recall of the products mentioned due to fungal contamination. When contacted, the company had not yet commented on the measure until the publication of this note. The Jovem Pan News space remains open for demonstrations.
