Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) determined, this Tuesday (6), the prohibition of the sale, distribution and consumption of four batches of panettone from the company D’Viez Indústria e Comércio de Chocolates Finos Ltda. The voluntary recall was communicated by the manufacturer after detecting the appearance of fungi on the surface of the product.
The measure affects the Mini Panettone with Traditional Truffled Chocolate Drops batches 140g (lot: 251027), Nossa Língua Truffled Panettone with Cat’s Tongue-Shaped Chocolates – 700g (lot: 251027), Panettone with Traditional Truffled Chocolate Drops – 700g (lot: 251027) and Panettone with Fruits Traditional Truffle – 700g (lot: 251027). The lots mentioned are valid until February 27th.

Foods with mushrooms
The commercialization, distribution, manufacture, dissemination and consumption of food products from the company Coguvita II Alimentos Ltda were also suspended. Smush Smushnuts brand products will also be recalled from the market as determined by Anvisa.
“The aforementioned products were manufactured with mushrooms Lion´s Mane e Cordycepsingredients that are not permitted because they have not yet had their safety assessed for use in food. The products are also advertised irregularly, stating, without scientific proof, that their consumption contributes to mental health, memory, focus and immunity”, explains Anvisa in a note.
All batches of Cocoa and Hazelnut Paste with Mushrooms, Peanut Paste with Mushrooms, Fruit, Peanut, Egg White and Mushroom Bar, Granola, Mix of Nuts, Seeds and Mushrooms, Keto Granola, Mushroom Espresso Coffee Capsule, Energy Mushroom Espresso Coffee Capsule were banned.
