Civil Police locate and seize vehicle linked to shooting attack in Rio Branco

The Civil Police of Acre seized, on Tuesday night (6), a car that may have been used in an attempted murder recorded hours earlier in the capital of Acre. The action took place after intelligence work and analysis of images from surveillance cameras spread across Rio Branco.

According to authorities, investigators managed to track a silver Fox model car that was traveling along Avenida Dias Martins, close to ABB. The vehicle began to be monitored in real time until it was approached near a supermarket, in the Corrente neighborhood, in the Second District region.

At the time of the approach, four people were inside the car. One of the occupants was taken to the Criminal Investigations Department (DEIC) to give a statement, while the others were identified and their data was recorded. The Civil Police informed that everyone involved will undergo investigation to clarify the degree of participation of each one.

The car was collected and sent for technical examination, a procedure that should help confirm whether the vehicle was used directly in the attack and whether there are traces linking the occupants to the crime.

Attack left victim in serious condition

The incident under investigation took place on Tuesday afternoon (6), in the Canal da Maternidade region, central area of ​​Rio Branco. Alan Victor da Silva, 30 years old, was the target of shots fired by the occupants of a vehicle with characteristics similar to the one seized.

The victim was hit in the neck and back. The shots caused a lung perforation and a fractured shoulder, significantly worsening his health condition. People nearby reported hearing at least two gunshots at the time of the attack.

Teams from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) provided first aid while still on site. Alan needed to be intubated and was taken in critical condition to the Rio Branco Emergency Room, where he suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest.

After the crime, the Military Police carried out searches in the region, but were unable to locate the suspects immediately. The investigations remain under the responsibility of the Civil Police, which is working to identify all those involved and clarify the motivation for the attempted murder.
