The US president, , and his close aides are considering scenarios for acquiring the , with the use of the US military “always remaining an option”, according to a statement on Tuesday (06/01).
As stated in the announcement, Donald Trump has made it clear that the acquisition of Greenland is a national security priority for the United States and is critical to deterring Washington’s adversaries in the Arctic region.
“The president and his team are discussing a number of options to achieve this important foreign policy objective and, of course, the use of the US military is always at the disposal of the chief of the armed forces,” the White House said in response to questions from Reuters.
