One 48 year old man was arrested this Tuesday (06) by the Civil Police of Goiás (PCGO) after attacking ex-partner49 years old, with shovel and club blows. The first attack took place in July 2025, when the attacker hit the victim in the right thigh with a shovel.
The impact caused a fracture in the femur, and the woman had to undergo surgery to fix it with a rod. The violence was not even more serious because neighbors intervened and prevented further attacks.
Assault with a shovel
After the episode, the victim requested a protective measure in court. Even so, the man attacked her again at the end of November of the same year, violating the court order that prohibited him from approaching his ex-partner. This time, he hit the woman’s left leg with a club.
The preventive detention was carried out by teams from the Cristianópolis Police Station and the Caldas Novas Special Criminal Investigations Group. The suspect was taken to the Pires do Rio prison, approximately 87 kilometers from the municipality, where he remains at the disposal of the Justice Department.
