Neymar signed this Tuesday (06/01) the extension of his contract with Santoswhich is now valid until December 2026. The club had already agreed the terms of the agreement at the end of last year and brought it forward to December 31st, with a video indicating that the new contract would be for 12 months instead of just six.
Santos officially confirmed that the star, currently 33 years old, will stay at the club until the end of the season, and Neymar celebrated the renewal, stating that he feels at home, safe and happy, and that he wants to achieve the goals that are still missing alongside the fans.
Neymar’s salary at Santos in 2026
According to the website “ge.com”, Neymar’s CLT contract costs Santos the equivalent of the salary of around five “ordinary” players in the squad every month, according to club sources. Thus, the value is around R$1 million per month. In addition to this salary, Santos also committed to paying R$85 million in installments, initially in 12 installments, to NR Sports, a company owned by Neymar’s parents, for exploiting the player’s image – an extra amount in addition to the monthly salary.
In sum of everything, Neymar and his company will receive around R$8 million per month from Santos in 2026. Even with this high value, the board considers that the player’s return, on and off the field, is worth the expense, especially due to his leadership and impact on the squad.
This is the third contract since he returned to Santos: initially it was six months, then another six in June, and now for 12 months until the end of 2026, after weeks of negotiations to adjust the terms that pleased both the player and the club.

Neymar is still recovering from surgery on his left knee and works at CT Rei Pelé with his private physiotherapy team, and is expected to return to the team between the end of January and the beginning of February.
