She experienced a fall to the bottom, but she didn’t give up! Petra Vajdová is one of the most talented actresses of her generation. Her fans and expert critics agree on this. If it weren’t for the problems with alcohol that brought her to her knees in the past, she could have continued to star on the boards of the Slovak National Theatre.
All days are not over yet, and the charming mom is doing everything to change that. For now, however, her registration in the criminal register is an obstacle, which is incompatible with the work of a regular SND employee. According to our information, they are still counting on Vajdová on our first scene, and when she gets things legally in order, they will open the door to her again. Until then, Petra has to be satisfied with possible external cooperation and, in addition, take on the tasks that the market currently offers her. And from the point of view of financial evaluation, they are far from the qualities that Petra possesses. We are talking about dubbing, which currently supports the improved actress.
Vajdová got the most opportunities to monetize her voice on Slovak television and radio. However, according to the contracts that are publicly available, it is not a contract, and Petra will not get dizzyingly rich thanks to them. Judge for yourself – for the so-called 17 loops, (a loop in the dubbing language means a short, 10-30 second, repeating section of dialogue, editor’s note) in the series Love in the Algarve collected only 37.64 euros. She issued other invoices for the amounts of 55.35 euros or 70.85 euros, but we also found some in the hundreds of euros. However, one contract reached only 11.07 euros and the “oiliest” one was for the animated film Genial Friend IV. It earned her almost 755 euros.
It’s clear that Petra is spinning as much as she can, and in addition to loving dubbing work, it’s also her main source of income. The tenacious artist invoiced a total of approximately 44 contracts with STVR for the year 2025, but her earnings for other dubbing companies must also be added to this. But they are no longer publicly accessible. Recently, for example, she successfully lent her beautiful voice to a character in the mega-hit Avatar: Fire and Ashes.
The mother of her son Martinek is not sitting at home with her hands folded. She is the prototype of a smart housewife and the real heroine of the proverb Grandma to grandma, they will be drops. “Seal disease” is not a threat to her, especially when she remembers the year before last, which was a disaster for her company.
