This Tuesday, January 6th, another ‘Special’ from ‘1ª Companhia’ aired, conducted by Maria Botelho Moniz.
In addition to speaking with Pedro Barroso in the Broadcast Room, the presenter also spoke with Sara Santos, about the difficult day she experienced yesterday, as every 6th reminds her of the day she lost her daughter.
After admitting that her fragility was also due to physical and psychological fatigue, Sara Santos was challenged to talk about the moment she decided to share her life story, highlighting the support she has felt from the recruits and also from the commander and her instructors.
“We support each other here, it’s mutual, I felt their support, they understand. We are all already tired, in psychological and physical terms, and they have been and are an incredible support (…). With the commander, I wasn’t expecting it because we have to be in agreement with the commander and the ice was broken there, there was no part between the commander and the recruit, we were two human beings who were there”he said, in tears, remembering the hug and conversation with José Moutinho.
Sara Santos became emotional again, at the end of the conversation, when remembering her family: “I didn’t want my parents to see me like this, not my son, not my boyfriend, my brothers, my nephews… But they know…”he said, being supported by Maria Botelho Moniz.
