After a report aired on JA1, the Civil Police indicted a teacher suspected of selling weight-loss pens without authorization. Producer Ramon Lacerda had access to the testimony of Ludmilla dos Santos, identified as the main person investigated in the case, and also to the report given by her cousin.
Defense states that essential expertise is still lacking and says that the accused trusts the Justice/Photo: Reproduction
According to Ludmilla’s defense, the Public Prosecutor’s Office acknowledged that expertise considered essential for analyzing the complaint has not yet been completed. The lawyers maintain that, without the expert report, it is not possible to reach definitive conclusions about the seized material. The defense also informed that it is awaiting the results of these tests before speaking out again.
In a statement, Ludmilla said she trusted the Justice Department and said she intended to prove that she did not intend to commit any irregularity.
In relation to Luís Antônio, cousin of the person being investigated, the defense highlighted that the investigation concluded that he only provided a favor, without any responsibility for the facts discovered. As a result, he was not indicted and his participation in the case was terminated by the authorities.
