According to the US president, the commodity will be sold “at market price”, and the money will be controlled by him “to ensure that it is used for the benefit of the people of Venezuela and the United States.”
Trump also said that he asked Energy Secretary Chris Wright to implement this plan immediately.
“The oil will be transported by tanker and taken directly to unloading ports in the United States,” Trump wrote on his social media site, Truth Social.
