An agent then shot at the vehicle and hit the woman, who died. According to the agency, officers were injured.
Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said in a statement that her office is already aware of the attack and will diligently investigate the case. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey has demanded that ICE agents leave the city, and that they stand firmly on the side of their immigrant and refugee communities.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz said the Department of Public Safety is working to uncover more information about the shooting.
