Atlético-MG beat QFC-RN 3-0, this Wednesday (7), in Osasco, in the second round of the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior. The result confirmed Galinho in the second phase of Brazil’s biggest youth tournament.
Galo opened the scoring at the end of the first half, with João Teixeira. At the beginning of the second half, Vitor Gabriel increased Minas Gerais’ advantage. In the 33rd minute, Ryan scored the third goal and declared the black and white victory.
With the triumph, Atlético-MG reached six points in Group 29 of the Copa São Paulo, taking the lead in the group. With at least second place guaranteed, Galo is assured of the next phase of the competition.
The Minas Gerais team ends the group stage on Saturday (10), at 9pm (Brasília time), against Audax-SP. The confrontation will define the first place in the group, as the São Paulo club occupies second place, with four points.
