At 2:05 pm there was a new call and it was reported that the victim was in cardiorespiratory arrest and at 2:09 pm Almada’s medical vehicle was sent, which remained free.

Contacted by Lusa, the Almada-Seixal Local Health Unit responded that it “will not comment until the conclusions are known” of the investigation process opened by the General Inspectorate of Health Activities (IGAS).

In the same written note, the Almada-Seixal Local Health Unit “deeply regrets the recorded death and extends its heartfelt condolences to the family.”

The president of INEM, Luís Mendes Cabral, had already said that the institute activated emergency assistance within 15 minutes, but there were no ambulances available.
