Midfielder Savarino asked for a meeting with the Botafogo board, and the definition of the possible negotiation with Fluminense should take place by Friday (09/01). The 29-year-old player spoke with black and white managers and coach Martín Anselmi after training this Wednesday (07/01).
According to the newspaper “O Globo”, the parties discussed the proposal presented by Fluminense, and Savarino committed to giving a final response in the coming days. The internal expectation is that the outcome will happen by the end of the week.
Between Botafogo and Fluminense, the understanding is considered simple. The negotiation foresees the transfer of midfielder Wallace Davi to the black and white club, in addition to financial compensation of around 3 million euros (R$ 18.8 million) to Botafogo.

With the current scenario, the final decision will be in Savarino’s hands. In 2025, the Venezuelan midfielder turned down offers from clubs in Europe, the Middle East and Brazilian football, prioritizing staying at Botafogo and continuing his career in Rio de Janeiro.
In the current window, Savarino refused offers from São Paulo and Corinthians because he did not want to leave Rio de Janeiro.
