Striker Estêvão, just 18 years old, from Chelsea, in the English Premier League, has become the most valued Brazilian football player on the market, according to a survey by CIES (Football Observatory of the International Center for Sport Studies).
The young man has an estimated market value of around €118.9 million (R$748.8 million), which places him as the 16th most expensive player in football.
In the January 2025 ranking, Estêvão did not even appear among the 100 most valuable players.
A year ago, Vinicius Junior, from Real Madrid, was the most expensive Brazilian player, with an estimated value of €214.3 million (R$1.35 billion), in values adjusted for inflation.
In this edition, Vinicius Junior is only the fourth Brazilian with the highest market value, at €90.3 million (R$568 million), behind João Pedro, from Chelsea (€100.5 million; R$633 million), and Savinho, from Manchester City (€91.5 million; R$576 million).
The list also includes Brazilians Vitor Roque, from Palmeiras (€85.2 million; R$536 million) – the most valuable player outside the five main European leagues –, Gabriel Martinelli, from Arsenal (€75.5 million; R$475 million), Rodrygo, from Real Madrid (€73.7 million; R$464 million), and Raphinha, from Barcelona (€65.9 million; R$ 415 million).
The list is led by Spaniard Lamine Yamal, from Barcelona, with an estimated market value of €343.1 million (R$2.1 billion).
He is followed by the Norwegian Erling Haaland, from Manchester City (€255.1 million; R$1.6 billion), and the Frenchman Kylian Mbappé, from Real Madrid (€201.3 million; R$1.2 billion).
