Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), sent this Wednesday (7) the

This Wednesday, the CFM ordered the Regional Council of Medicine of the Federal District to launch an immediate inquiry into the medical care provided to Bolsonaro.

In the decision, the minister also determined that the CFM’s determination to initiate an inquiry should be considered null and void.

According to Moraes, the Council’s action is illegal and the entity does not have supervisory powers in this case. The PF must hear the president at the CFM within 10 days.

A CNN Brazil sought advice from CFM and is awaiting positioning.

The measure, according to the minister, “clearly demonstrates the deviation from the purpose of the determination, in addition to total ignorance of the facts”.

Moraes also mentions that, in a decision dated November 22nd of last year, he had already provided full-time medical care to the former president.

In the situation of the fall suffered by Bolsonaro, the magistrate points out that the PF medical team did not find the need for the former president to be immediately taken to the hospital.

“There was, therefore, no omission or inertia by the Federal Police medical team, who acted correctly and competently, as corroborated by the medical examinations carried out on the custodian today, at the DF Star Hospital, which did not indicate any problem or sequelae in relation to what occurred in the early hours of the previous day”, explained the minister.

The minister’s decision also orders the director of DF Star Hospital to forward all medical exams and reports relating to exams carried out by Bolsonaro to the STF within 24 hours.
