The Civil Police of Santa Catarina arrested, on Tuesday afternoon (6), Fernando Sampaio de Souza e Silvaowner of the sports tourism company Outsider Toursinvestigated for a series of fraud crimes committed in different states of the country.
The arrest was carried out by agents from the Criminal Investigations Police Station (DIC) of Balneário Camboriú, in a luxury building in the city centerwhere the businessman spent vacations with his family during the summer.
According to the police, Fernando is considered responsible for sports tourism companies that sold travel packages for football games and car races, both in Brazil and abroad. The victims, however, did not receive the services as contracted, even after payment.
There was a preventive arrest warrant issued against him by the Criminal Court of Tucuruí, in Pará. Furthermore, the businessman is also being investigated in ongoing police investigations in the states of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
Fernando Sampaio de Souza e Silva was sent to the Santa Catarina prison system, where he remains at the disposal of the courts. After his arrest, Fernando’s personal profile on social media was locked.
The Outsider Tours page on Instagram has been deactivated, and the company’s official website appears to be temporarily unavailable.
