The President of the United States, Donald Trump, said that arrangements are being made for him to meet with the President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, at the White House in Washington, after the two spoke this Wednesday.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said that Petro called ‘to explain the drug situation and other disagreements we had.’
This is the first phone call between the two presidents since Trump said on Sunday that a US military operation focused on Colombia’s government sounded ‘good’ to him.

Details of the conversation were not immediately clear, but the source in Petro’s office said the call was ‘cordial’ and ‘respectful’.
