President of the United States, Donald Trump, said this Wednesday (7) that Venezuela has agreed to use the resources obtained from the sale of its oil to purchase only products manufactured in the United States.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the purchases will include U.S. agricultural products, drugs and medical devices, as well as equipment to improve its electrical grid and energy facilities.
“In other words, Venezuela is committed to doing business with the US as its main partner,” said the American leader on the social media platform.
Washington and Caracas are advancing in negotiations to supply up to 50 million barrels of Venezuelan oil to the United States.
