The AP Hotels & Resorts Group formalized, at the end of 2025, the acquisition of the OPO Hotel Porto Aeroporto, located next to the Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, in Porto, with this unit officially becoming part of the hotel chain.
According to the group, “at the end of 2025, the acquisition of the OPO Hotel Porto Aeroporto, located next to the Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport in Porto, was formalized, which officially joins the AP Hotels & Resorts Chain”.

With this operation, the Portuguese hotel group owned by Grupo Madre now has a total of 10 units, reinforcing its presence in the North of the country, where AP Dona Aninhas already operates, in Viana do Castelo. The company emphasizes that this acquisition “reinforces its presence in the national market, further strengthening the brand”, which also has two units in Alentejo and six in the Algarve.
The unit will be renamed AP Aeroporto Porto and, according to the group, “it presents a differentiated structure and a strategic location that perfectly complement the Group’s portfolio”. The hotel has 64 rooms and suites, restaurant, bar, parking and conference rooms.

He also highlights that the location is “premium in relation to the airport, being just 500 meters from it”, offering a shuttle service and direct access to a metro line, being approximately 10 kilometers from the city of Porto.
