The Brazilian is ready to return to the tennis courts. The athlete returns to the circuit at the beginning of 2026, competing in the WTA 500 in Adelaide. The tournament will start on January 12th. The Brazilian has not competed in a competition since September 2025, when she fell in the second round of the WTA in Seoul, South Korea. The tennis player took advantage of the last few months to rest, both physically and mentally. She also revealed the fulfillment of a particular wish, as she had her eggs frozen.

“It was a very important break to rest my body and mind, after five very intense years, a lot of dedication, great moments and learning, and that has its price. I made great use of this time away from the courts and I feel recharged for a new cycle”, said Bia Haddad.

“I even took advantage of this moment to freeze my eggs, as I dream of becoming a mother. It is a very important program in which the WTA is pioneering support, helping athletes plan their careers and motherhood”, she added.

The tennis player detailed how the pre-season went. Bia Haddad celebrated her return to the courts and has already made a projection for the coming weeks on the women’s tennis circuit. “I did a longer pre-season, calmly and it was very productive. I was able to make some small technical changes to some shots we already had in mind, I reached the level I wanted and I feel ready to return to the circuit with strength”, she guaranteed.

“I’ll start the year here in Adelaide and then head to Melbourne, then playing in Abu Dhabi and Doha. At this moment, I’ll just focus on singles and later on we’ll analyze the rest of the season”, he concluded.
