Vienna – The House of Austrian History (hdgö) will move from the Neue Burg on Vienna’s Heldenplatz to the Museum Quarter as planned. Vice Chancellor and Minister of Culture Andreas Babler (SPÖ) announced this on Friday as the result of the internal evaluation. “However, the actual start of construction is still subject to budget restrictions. It is therefore possible to extend the project’s time,” it said in a press release on Friday. The opening at the new location was planned for autumn 2028.
