In the oldest case, a woman identified as MTCMX was located in the district of Vila Extrema, in Porto Velho (RO), after 19 years on the run. She was wanted for an attempted murder that occurred in 2005, at Casa do Índio, in Rio Branco. According to records at the time, the crime was motivated by jealousy: upon finding her ex-partner with another woman, the perpetrator stabbed the victim several times with a knife. The arrest warrant against her had been issued by the 1st Jury Court in 2006.
Simultaneously, in Santa Maria (PA), the Pará police located a man who had been on the run for 10 years. He was arrested in the Marilândia neighborhood this Thursday, the 8th, in compliance with a 2018 court order. The crime in question was a violent robbery that occurred in 2007, in the rural area of Rio Branco, on the banks of the Transacreana Highway. On that occasion, the accused and an accomplice used a pocket knife to capture a 73-year-old man, subtracting R$2,000 after a physical fight that left the victim injured.
