Spread this on the shovel. Clearing snow has never been so easy

Snow removal is especially difficult if the snow is frozen or wet. You can make it easier for yourself. WITHInstead of removing moist lumps of snow from the shovel with each movement of your hand, grease it with grease or another lubricant. You can use rapeseed oil, which everyone probably has in their kitchen. Spread it evenly over the surface of the shovel and then lightly wipe it with a dry towel. The resulting thin layer of fat will prevent the snow from sticking and will slide off the shovel more easily.

You don’t have to limit yourself to just oil, car wax or Vaseline will work just as well. These products will work better on wooden tools. This is a simple, inexpensive method that can shorten the work even twice and save energy, especially when the snow is wet and heavy.

Snow sticks to the shovel primarily because it melts slightly upon contact with a warmer surface, and then freezes or settles in the micro-crevices of the material. The grease or wax creates an anti-adhesive barrier that prevents snow particles from sticking. This coating is smooth and slippery, so snow slides on it more easily and falls off the shovel without the need for additional cleaning.

The same principle applies, among others, in skiing and winter equipment. The surfaces of skis, boards and runners are often waxed, thanks to which the snow does not stick and makes it easier to move on them.
